Counselling

Counselling can be referred to as ‘talking therapies’ and gives people a non-judgmental and confidential environment in which to explore and discuss their problems and emotions. People generally seek counselling when they want to change something in their lives, or when they want to explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth.


Counsellors do not tell their clients what they should do, instead, they encourage them to talk about the things that bother them to get to the root causes and identify thinking patterns. The counsellor and client collaborate to come up with a plan to overcome problems or to help find ways to cope.


Counselling is not a one size fits all endeavour. Instead, each session is tailored to the client’s needs.
